I titled my talk "Policy Challenges for the Federal Reserve." I did that before I knew what I was going to discuss, because just about any topic involving the Federal Reserve would entail policy challenges. So let me begin by narrowing the topic just a bit: I would like to talk about the challenges that lie at the intersection of monetary policy and financial stability.

When I last spoke at the Economic Club of New York a little more than a year ago, the financial crisis had just taken a much more virulent turn. CFTC Seeks Public Comment On Request From The Kansas City Board Of Trade And The Kansas City Board Of Trade Clearing Corporation Involving OTC Calendar Swaps For Wheat
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (Commission) is requesting public comment on a petition submitted jointly by the Kansas City Board of Trade (KCBT) and the Kansas City Board of Trade Clearing Corporation (KCBTCC), the derivatives clearing organization for KCBT, in connection with certain over-the-counter (OTC) contracts to be listed for clearing-only on KCBT and cleared through KCBTCC.

CME Group, KRX Announce After-Hours Access To KOSPI 200 Futures On CME Globex - Companies Also Pursuing Potential Order-Routing Initiative

IOSCO Consults On Point Of Sale Disclosure For Collective Investment Schemes
The International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) Technical Committee has published a consultation report on Principles on Point of Sale Disclosure. The Report proposes a set of principles, for the disclosure of key information relating to collective investment schemes, designed to assist markets and market authorities when considering point of sale disclosure requirements in their respective jurisdictions.<
