CME To Launch E-Mini Euro FX And E-Mini Japanese Yen Contracts
The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) has set a fall launch for "E-mini" versions of two of its leading currency contracts, Euro FX futures and Japanese yen futures, marking the first time the successful "E-mini" design will be applied to non-equity products at the exchange.

New Record Fiscal Year Trading Volume In Minneapolis Spring Wheat Futures
Hard red spring wheat futures posted record fiscal year trading volume Friday. The Minneapolis Grain Exchange fiscal year ends August 31. Total fiscal year volume through August 6, 1999 stood at 1,072,723 contracts, the equivalent of 5,363,615,000 bushels of wheat.

David S. Pottruck Elected To NASD Board of Governors
The National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (NASD®), today announced the election of David S. Pottruck to its Board of Governors. Pottruck is President, Co-Chief Executive Officer, and a member of the Board of Directors of The Charles Schwab Corporation and will fill the remaining term of Jon S. Corzine. The NASD Board of Governors acted upon the recommendation of its nominating committee during its regularly scheduled meeting on July 29.

Bahrain Stock Exchange Weekly Securities & Investment Research
GCC markets continued to be in a mixed mood last week. Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and UAE posted gains of 3.7%, 0.8% and 0.3%, respectively, while Oman fell by 1.4%. BSE index registered a fall of 0.7% on thin trading (volume down 41.5% compared to last week). Advance /decline ratio also deteriorated to 4:11.

Winnipeg Commodity Exchange Volume Exceeds 2 Million Contracts for Third Consecutive Year
Total futures and options trading volume for the 1998/1999 crop year exceeded 2 million contracts for the third year in a row, slightly lower than the record (2,101,280 contracts) established in 1996/1997.
