Singapore Exchange Announces Schedules For Opening Access And Liberalising Commissions
Singapore Exchange (SGX) yesterday announced the schedules for opening access and liberalising commissions for securities trading. These schedules have been arrived at following close consultation with the Financial Center Advisory Group ("FCAG"), an international panel of prominent industry practitioners appointed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

NYMEX Western Electricity Margins To Be Split Along With Contract Unit
The New York Mercantile Exchange has announced that it would halve the margins on its California-Oregon border and Palo Verde electricity futures contracts when the contract unit is split at the close of business on Monday, December 6.

NYMEX To Change Intra-Commodity Straddle Margins And Spread Credits On Western Electricity Contracts
The New York Mercantile Exchange will adjust the intra-commodity straddle margins and spread credit rates on its western electricity futures contracts at the close of business on Monday, December 6, to coincide with the splitting of the contract unit earlier that day.

November Is A Record-Breaking Month At The KCBT
The month of November brought a spate of new volume records to the Kansas City Board of Trade. Overall exchange volume for the month set a new record at 246,433 contracts, blasting the previous November record of 194,043 contracts set in 1998 by nearly 27 percent. Total exchange volume was up 50 percent compared to last month.

French and Singapore Derivatives Markets Sign Cross Exchange Agreement
ParisBourse SBF SA and the Singapore Exchange's Derivatives Trading division yesterday signed, in Singapore, a Cross Membership and Cross Access Trading Agreement to allow its trading members to obtain membership in each other's Exchange for the purpose of cross-exchange trading in all electronically-listed products on both markets, via a single access.

CBOE Lists Callable Index Linked Notes On The GSTI Internet Index (GIN)
The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) listed for trading two new issues of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. Callable Index Linked Notes (the "Notes") under the symbols "GIA.A" and "GII.A." The four year Notes are linked to the Goldman Sachs Technology Indexes (GSTI?) Internet Index (ticker symbol GIN) and were originally issued at 99.50% of the face amount.

Trading hours for all contracts of the Exchange will start from 8:45 a.m. on December 13, 1999, responding to the BOJ (the Bank of Japan)'s announcement that the "Tankan" will be released at 8:50a.m. on this day. Trading Hours on December 13, 1999 are: 8:45 - 11:30, 12:30 - 15:30, 15:40 - 18:00.
