The total open interest as of the last day of the week, February 20, 2009 reached 70.3 bln. roubles or 3.3 mln. contracts.

ICMA: Survey Of European Repo Market Reflects Deleveraging By Banks
The European Repo Council of the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) today released the results of its 16th semi-annual survey of the European repo market. The survey, a snapshot of the volume of repo trades outstanding on a single day in December 2008, based on returns from 61 financial institutions, sets the baseline figure for market size at EUR 4,633 billion, the decline, adjusted for changes in the survey sample, is 26% from the June 2008 figure of EUR 6,504 billion.

RTS Stock Market Weekly Trading Results: February 16 – 20, 2009
Over the week of February 16 – 20, 2009 the RTS Index went down by 17.14% to reach 517.22 points (624.21 points as of February 13, 2009). Most of the negative impact on the Index dynamics was related to the falling prices for OAO "LUKOIL" ordinary shares (LKOH) (minus 21.08 points) and Sberbank ordinary shares (SBER) (minus 14.58 points).

Dow Jones Euro STOXX 50 Double Short And Dow Jones STOXX 600 Double Short Indexes To Underlie Exchange-Traded Funds - Strategy Indexes Licensed To BNP Paribas Asset Management
STOXX Limited, the leading provider of European equity indexes, today announced that the Dow Jones EURO STOXX 50 Double Short and Dow Jones STOXX 600 Double Short indexes have been licensed to BNP Paribas Asset Management to serve as the basis for two exchange-traded funds. The EasyETF Euro Stoxx 50 Double Short and EasyETF DJ Stoxx 600 Double Short will be available on Euronext Paris today.

Deutsche Börse Sets New Revenue And Earnings Records In 2008 - Sales Revenue Up 12 Percent To €2,455.1 Million - Earnings Per Share Up 15 Percent To €5.42 - Dividend Proposal Of €2.10 For 2008 - Reduced Cost Guidance While Retaining Key Growth Initiatives
Deutsche Börse AG closed financial year 2008 very successfully in terms of sales revenue and earnings. Based on the preliminary figures published by the company on Tuesday, sales revenue rose 12 percent in 2008, to €2,455.1 million (2007: €2,185.2 million). The sales revenue reflect stable performance throughout 2008 in the Group’s two largest business areas, Eurex and Clearstream, as well as the consolidation of the International Securities Exchange (ISE) in 2008. The Group also earned €236.
