CME Group, the world's largest and most diverse derivatives marketplace, today announced that October volume averaged 10.8 million contracts per day, down 13 percent from October 2008, but up 2 percent from September 2009. Total volume was 237 million contracts for October, of which 82 percent was traded electronically, and represented the highest first month of a quarter volume to date in 2009. RTS Stock Market Weekly Trading Results: October 26 – 30, 2009
Over the week of October 26 – October 30, 2009, the RTS Index went down by 7.72% to reach 1,348.54 points (1,461.30 points as of October 23, 2009). Most of the negative impact on the Index dynamics was related to the falling prices for ordinary shares of OAO "LUKOIL" (LKOH) (minus 21.50 points) followed by Gazprom ordinary shares (GAZP) (minus 20.12 points) and Sberbank ordinary shares (SBER) (minus 17.02 points).

In October 2009, cumulative turnover on SIX Swiss Exchange and Scoach Switzerland Ltd amounted to CHF 104.27 billion, 8.7 % higher than in the previous month.
