The London Metal Exchange is pleased to announce that Nat le Roux has been appointed as Independent Director on the Board of LME Holdings Ltd. Nat le Roux who was Chief Executive of IG Group between 2002 and 2006 has replaced Mike McTighe who retired from the Board on 18 November 2008.
Commenting on the appointment, Donald Brydon, Chairman said:
“Nat le Roux brings a unique combination of experience having worked as an LME broker and a stockbroker before joining IG Group, initially as Dealing Director, where he was focussed on product development, risk management and revenue growth. His experience and knowledge will be extremely valuable in building and strengthening the LME’s business.”
“Mike McTighe served a full term on the Board and generously shared his time and expertise for the benefit of shareholders. We thank him for his contribution and wish him well for the future.”
Background- Mr le Roux has over 25 years experience in derivatives markets. After stepping down as CEO of IG Group he has pursued academic interests focussed on the anthropology of financial markets and institutions. He remains non-executive Deputy Chairman of IG Group plc.
